My mum has a thing for Manuka honey and is always trying to convenience me to eat it. However, even though it has great health benefits, I think it tastes disgusting! So when I found this New Zealand based brand Antipodes, that use Manuka honey in their skincare, I thought instead of eating it I'll apply to my face instead!

Pamper night with Bliss Spa.
Hi everyone, I didn't think it would ever happen but I've finally managed to stick to my new blogging schedule! Today I am going to review two products that were kindly sent to me by Birchbox, because everyone deserves a pamper night after a long week working!

Lush - Let the Good Times Roll cleanser.
Hi everyone, I hope you all had a lovely weekend! Today I am going to tell you about one of my all time favourite cleansers from Lush. When I first went into Lush to buy a new face scrub I had full intentions of buying Dark Angles but after smelling this I just had to have it, and it works amazing too!

Lush Cosmetics - Dark Angels cleanser.
Hi everyone! Today I am going to review the Dark Angels face and body cleanser from Lush Cosmetics. I have been using this cleanse for about two months now and I am in a bit of a love hate relationship with it.
First of all this cleanser comes in one of the standard black tubs that Lush commonly uses which I really like, as if I keep it in the shower no water gets through the lid and ruins the product and also if you return 5 clean Lush pots you get a free fresh face mask which is great!
Onto the cleanser itself it has quite an interesting earthy smell, it's not necessarily bad but it might be one that you have to get use to for a while. This smell comes from the fact that it contains charcoal and rhassoul mud, these two ingredients help to cleanse, remove excess oil and exfoliate the face. It also contains rosewood oil that acts as an antiseptic.
Now the reason I don't like this cleanser is due to it's colour and texture. Like the Herbalsim cleanser I reviewed it has quite a flaky almost sand like texture that gets everywhere when I use it, and due to it's colour it does have a tendency to stain the sink if I don't wash it all off carefully. So for this reason I much prefer to use this in the shower as it easier to clean off and also if you use a flannel to remove this cleanser it can stain them as well (so use a dark coloured flannel!).
So why do I love this cleanser? Because it works almost perfectly for my skin! I use this day and night for 6 nights a week and my skin has become much less oily and it has also reduced the amount of spots that I get, in fact I don't think my skin has ever looked this good! So for me it is worth the hassle of having to clean the sink thoroughly each time I use it. Also it doesn't dry out my skin like most cleansers aimed at oily skin as it contains avocado oil to keep it moisturised and it leaves my skin with a lovely glow.
To use I apply a small amount to my fingers and then run it under warm water to turn it into a paste. I then use circular motions to spread it around my face, once my face is covered I then like to wash it off using a flannel and warm water. I would then recommend using a toner after to remove some of the excess charcoal that can be left on the skin.
As you can probably tell already this cleanser is aimed at people with oily skin so if you have drier skin this might not be for you and also if you have really sensitive skin you might not want to use this everyday as it is quite a harsh exfoliator so you do have to be gentle when rubbing it in.
I got the massive tub of this (250g) which cost me £16.88 but this has lasted me for two months and I still have enough left for another months worth but if you just want to try it out you can get 100g for £6.75. You can buy it here:

My Lush skincare routine - Herbalism.
Hi everyone, hope you all are well! Today I was going to do a blog post on my current skincare routine from Lush, but it turns out I'm too chatty for my own good and so I have decided to split this post into three individual posts otherwise it just would have been too long!
This is the first time I have ever used skincare products from Lush, and I was recommended these items by one of the lovely members of staff. You really can't beat the customer service you receive in Lush as the staff are always friendly.

Lush Haul.
Hi everyone! I have already posted this photo onto instagram (check the side of my blog for the link) but today I though I would do a quick post on a recent shopping trip I had to Lush. Lush has always been one of my favourite shops as they do amazing quality products that are vegan and eco-friendly and also the staff are amazing and really friendly! But until recently I'd only really ever bought bath stuff from them, so I decided that I would try a few of their skincare products as well.

The Body Shop - Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter
Cleansing in the morning and evening is one of the most important things you can do for your skin so I thought I'd review one of my favorite cleansers from The Body Shop.
Since the age of 12 I have suffered from acne and it is horrible, so it is very hard for me to find a nice cleansing product which doesn't cause my skin to breakout, but this is perfect!
It has a wonderful subtle smell and a lovely soft texture.
I use it every other day as I do have another acne specific cleanser, but this is perfect for making my skin feel really soft and refreshed after using.
When using this product I apply it to a dry face and then give myself a mini face massage which I learnt from reading the Birchbox online magazine:
I then use a warm muslin cloth to wipe it off.
I would defiantly recommend this product to anyone, as it does leave my skin feeling really clean and soft and also doesn't cause my skin to freak out. Also you don't need to use a lot of the cleansing butter to get a good coverage all over your face and neck, so for £12 I think it's a good price as it would definitely last a while.
