Lush cosmetics - Golden Egg.

Hi everyone, spring is here the sun is shining and Easter is just around the corner so today I thought I would review the Golden Egg bath bomb/melt from the Lush cosmetics Easter collection. This bath bomb melt certainly caught my eye in the shop, but be warned if you're not a fan of glitter this product is not for you!

This product is a mix between a bath bomb and bath melt, so when you place it in the bath it slowly fizzes and dissolves away leaving your bath a lovely bright yellow. Also due to the bath melt aspect of it, it leaves the bath water feeling lovely and silky as it contains cocoa butter and olive oil.

This product has a wonderful sweet honey smell to it which lasts on your skin for ages after, and also after using it I don't think my skin has ever felt so soft! The only problem I had with this bath bomb was the glitter, it was everywhere! I mean I chose the least glittery one available and it still took me forever to clean the bath afterwards! Also I came out looking like a gold glittery disco ball, so to me this is definitely a bath bomb to use at night and then you can wash off any glitter left in the morning.

Overall I really enjoyed using this bath bomb/melt as it left my skin feeling super silky soft and smelling really sweet, so I would definitely repurchase it. A Golden Egg costs £3.75 and you can buy one here: Lush Golden Egg - £3.75

Have you tried any of the Lush Easter range?

  1. I've just done a haul of my Lush Easter collection on my blog! I'm gutted I didn't pick this one up now, I thought it would be too glittery when I saw it in the shop.

    1. I'll have to have a look! It is extremely glittery, but I don't mind that when it leaves my skin feeling so soft! Though due to the glitter I would only use it as a treat! :) x

  2. This is the second review I've read of Golden Egg today haha. I did love the smell but thought it was a bit of a glitter overload because it just got everywhere! I think I've ruined for so many people now that I've said it looks like a potato, but it really does!
