Anxiety and my advice.

Hi guys, today I thought I would do two posts for my blog one for beauty and one lifestyle post about anxiety. There has been a lot of talk about anxiety recently which I think is great because a lot of people who suffer from it can feel alone but it is a really common mental illness which can be helped and treated.

I have suffered from anxiety basically all my life and unfortunately over the years it has got worse and worse, so today I thought I would share some advice about how I cope and how I am learning to live with it.

Gosh nail varnish - Ocean.

The summer holidays are coming up soon so today I thought I would review one of my favourite summer shades of nail varnish - (540) Ocean by Gosh.

I love this nail varnish and it instantly caught my eye when I walked into the shop. The colour is so bright and I always get complimented when I wear this shade.

This nail varnish has a very nice metallic shimmer and as the name suggests the colour resembles an ocean. It has a nice aqua blue colour with slight hints of green in it, and it really looks great in sunlight which I think makes it the perfect nail varnish to wear on holiday somewhere sunny!

It is very easy to apply and if you are in a rush it even looks good if you just apply just one coat. In these pictures I am wearing two coats of Ocean and a top coat to help make it last longer.

One thing I would say though is be careful with your brush stokes as they can sometimes be quite noticeable with this shade.

Another thing I love about this nail varnish is that it has a relatively quick drying time. This is very important to me as I am super impatient, and usually as soon as I apply nail varnish I smudge it!

This nail varnish usually lasts me for about 4 days which is good for me, as I struggle to find a nail varnish that will last one day, but I think this is because I tend to take very hot showers/baths and I'm usually tapping away my fingers, so the colour chips off at the top.

What do you think of this shade?

Lush - Melting Marshmallow moment.

Today was results day - the day I dread (I often think it's worse taking the exams).
After a very restless night I was up bright and early to check my results online and I am very pleased to say that I passed all my modules with good grades, overall coming out with a 2:1!

So after a long night of stressing away I thought I'd have a nice relaxing day, and there is no better way to relax than having a nice bath from Lush.

Melting Marshmallow moment is one of my favourite products from Lush, mainly because of it's smell. I have a massive sweet tooth and when you open this it smells like an old vintage sweet shop.  The smell is nice and sweet and I find that it lingers on my skin all day, leaving me smelling nice and fresh.

To use this bath melt you simply run your perfect temperature bath, get in and then drop the bath melt in. Once the bath melt has been added it will float around the bath slowly fizzing and melting releasing its scent and turning the bath a nice musky pink colour.

After using this bath melt my skin stays smooth and soft for the rest of the day, due to its ingredients Marshmallow powder, almond oil and cocoa butter.

What makes this product great as well is that Lush don't test any of their products on animals and they are very ethical which I think is becoming  a more and more important factor when buying products.

This bath melt cost £3.95, which can seem a bit pricey for one bath but you can cut the product up if you want and I think there would be enough for 2 or 3 baths.

What's your favourite Lush product?

Beauty haul.

It's result day tomorrow and I always get really stressed out about it, and when I'm stressed I have a tendency to go shopping (I am a stress spender). I should really get someone to hold me back during times like these, but it did result in me getting a load of new beauty products which I can't wait to try out and review!

Rimmel Moisture renew lipstick - As You Want Victoria.

It has been a beautifully sunny day in London so today I thought I would share one of my more summer shades of lipstick - As you want Victoria by Rimmel London.

Recently I have been trying to be braver with my choice of lipstick shade and when I saw the name of this lipstick it was a bit of an impulse buy, but luckily I do really like the colour. It is a fuchsia shade which is a nice bright colour for the summer days and it contains spf 20 perfect for protecting your lips!

When applying this lipstick it only needs one coat as it is very pigmented, however I always like to apply one coat, blot and then another coat to help make the lipstick last longer. After applying it has a high shine glossy finish.

It is from Rimmels Moisture renew collection, so it has a creamy and I think quite thick texture so I find it easier to apply this lipstick with a lip brush. To help moisturise this lipstick is enriched with vitamins A, C and E as well as antioxidants which I like as it makes me feel like I have loads of goodness going into my lips helping to look after them.

When wearing thislipstick it did keep my lips hydrated and stopped them from cracking, however because of its creamy texture it did transfer onto everything my lips touched. So the wear time on this isn't great and I would say you would need to reapply at least every four hours.

The price for this product is £6.49 and you can but it from here as well as all the other shades in the collection: http://www.superdrug.com/Make-Up/Lips/Lipstick/Rimmel-Moisture-Renew-Lipstick-As-You-Want-Victoria/p/744371#.U7W7ufldXsY

What do you think of this lipstick shade? Do you own any of Rimmels Moisture renew lipsticks?

Benefit - Triple Performing facial Emulsion.

I am huge fan of Benefit cosmetics and own a lot of their products, so I thought the first review for Benefit I would do would be their Triple performing facial emulsion as it is one of my beauty staples and I use it everyday.

It is really important to moisturise your skin as it helps to hydrate the skin to keep it looking healthy and can help reduce flakiness and redness.

I love this moisturiser as it is oil free so it doesn't make my already oily skin breakout and it doesn't make me feel greasy. It also has spf 15 PA++ which means you are getting protection from the suns harmful UVA waves. However if it is a sunny day I would always recommend putting on a high factor sun lotion before applying moisturiser preferably one that protects against both UVA and UVB rays.

The price for this is £21.50 so it is a bit on the pricey side, however I have had this bottle for over 6 months now and I'm still not halfway through it. This is because you don't need a lot of it to cover your face, I use about 1 and a half pumps in the morning which I find sufficient. So I think that the price is reasonable as it is not a purchase you have to make regularly.

Another added bonus of this product is that it comes in a gorgeous glass bottle which has a blue tint and a cork imitation lid, so it looks lovely out on display. Also I love the smell of this moisturiser and it makes me feel refreshed in the morning when I apply it.

You can buy this product and other products from the Benefit range at Boots, Debenhams and Hose of Fraser.

What moisturiser do you use? Do use Benefit cosmetics?
