Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate.

Oily skin plus a face oil? That seems like a no go to most and it did to me too not so long ago, but after doing some research I decided to give it ago, plus it was a chance for me to try out the famous Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate.

This face oil comes in a lovely blue bottle and smells gorgeous! It has this calming lavender smell which is perfect to help you relax when you put it on before going to bed. It also comes with a pipette to release the oil, which really appeals to the scientist in me!

Now as the name suggests you use this face oil at night by applying around three drops into your hands and then massaging it in. This is the very last step I do in my skincare routine because placing other products on top of an oil can stop them from sinking in and working properly.

Due to this being the last step in my routine I like to make it very pampering by taking the time to give myself a mini face massage like the one from Lisa Eldridge and it really helps to relax my mind and help me get to sleep.

After using this face oil I was amazed by the results, I was honestly expecting to wake up as one big, oily, spotty mess, but it was the total opposite! My skin felt softer, wasn't oily and even looked clearer!

I have been using this face oil now for the last three months and my skin seems to be loving it as it sorts out any issue that arises, especially the dry patches I keep getting due to the weather. However I do only use it every other night as I found that using it consecutively did make my skin freak out a little.

A bottle of this costs £36 which may seem a little pricey, but like I've said I've been using this for three months now and I'm not even a quarter of a way through, so this bottle will last you a while! You can buy it here: Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate - £36

What's your favourite facial oil?

  1. I just got this for Christmas and was kind of unsure of how to use it so I'm glad that I found this post! I had planned to put it on before my moisturiser but found that it was taking so long to sink in that I never got around to the moisturising step haha. Definitely one to put on straight before bed XD
I'm so glad that you like it, can't wait to see what it does over time!
