My nail care routine - Seche Vite, Dry fast top coat.

Hello again everyone! Today I am continuing on from Wednesdays blog post  with my nail care routine, finishing of course with my top coat. I am so late to the Seche Vite game it's unbelievable. It is always being hyped about in the blogging world but with a £9 price tag I've always been a bit hesitant, but after trying it out for a while do I think it's worth it?

Top coat: Seche Vite, dry fast top coat.

First of all I find it a little tricky to apply, you need to get a big bead at the tip of the brush and then set it down on the nail allowing it to spread across the whole nail without the brush touching the nail varnish at the bottom, but after a while I did get use to this process.
Once I started applying it properly it does help to make my nail varnish to last a bit longer and adds this gorgeous glossy, high shine finish to my nails. Also it does dry very quickly (within minutes) which is perfect for an impatient person like myself.

However I did find that every so often it would cause my nail varnish to shrink back from the tip a little bit, and I also found that it was easy to peel off after a few days which is a bit disappointing, though that could be because I'm still not applying it correctly?

Overall I don't think I would repurchase it as even though it does help to make my nail varnish last longer, it's only by a day or two. And also once it starts peeling I can't help but pick it off! It's such a shame that I didn't get on with this product as much as other people seem to do, but if you want to give it a try you can get it here:

What top coat do you use?

  1. Yeah I'd say if it's not outstanding then it's definitely not worth the price tag! Honestly I don't actually use top coats too often (so I couldn't really say). What's your favourite top coat?

    1. I don't really have one, as I've always used cheap ones from Christmas gift sets! But I'm definitely going to search around for a good one!
