My nail care routine - Base coat: Avon 24K Strength.

Hi everyone! It has been an eventful week in my little flat with my laptop deciding that it just didn't want to work anymore and then me slicing my finger open on a food processor blade, so I've had to take some time off blogging again. But with a borrowed laptop and bandaged finger hopefully I can get back on track now, and I thought I would start talking about my nail care products today.

First of all I'm quite lucky as my nails are naturally strong and quick growing, though during times of stress they become really weak and break constantly. So I like to use products that help to add some strength and which also help keep my nail varnish lasting as long as possible, because I am super lazy when it comes to painting my nails!

I was going to do base coat and top coat in one post, but true to my blog name I rambled on far too much so I'm splitting them into two, of course starting with my base coat.

Base Coat: Avon 24K Gold Strength:

This base coat is one of my all time favourites! It creates a really nice smooth base to apply nail varnish over the top whilst helping to strengthen the nails and stop them from peeling. This works wonders when my nails are really struggling, and my nails definitely feel healthier since using it.

What I also love about this base coat is that it contains some shimmer, and when you apply it to the nails it makes them look really healthy and shiny so they look great even if you don't apply a colour over the top, which is great for when I'm feeling lazy!

This base coat only costs £5 from Avon so it is a real bargain, and you can buy it here:

  1. Ouch sorry to hear about your finger, hope it heals quickly! I've never actually done a base coat, only ever a top coat but it's definitely something I'd consider using. Nice to see you posting again :)
