Hey everyone, I hope you all are well! Today I am going to do a quick recipe post on my winter/festive apple crumble that I made the other day which is perfect for getting rid of any leftover Christmas ingredients (if you have any). Also I'm sorry the pictures aren't great, but this was a bit of a last minute blog post as I really loved this recipe!
Filling:-
- 4 small Apples (any you prefer, peeled and cut.)
- Handful of Cranberries (or as much as you want)
- Chunks of Marzipan (as much as you want)
- 50g Brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of Plain flour
- Cinnamon, Nutmeg and Ginger (as much as you prefer)
Crumble:-
- 300g Plain flour
- Pinch of Salt
- 175g of Brown sugar
- 200g of Butter (cubed)
Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 180C
2. Place the flour, salt and sugar for the Crumble into a bowl and mix.
3. Add in the butter a few cubes at a time and rub into the flour mixture. Keep doing this until it begins to look like breadcrumbs.
4. In a separate bowl add the apples, cranberries and marzipan and then add the flour sugar and spices. Mix this gently.
5. You can now add the fruit to an ovenproof dish, and then sprinkle the crumble on top.
6. This cooks for around 30 - 45 minutes depending on your oven. (mine cooked for 35)
And there you have it! This apple crumble is super easy to make and is really delicious too, especially when served warm with ice cream (my favourite being either cinnamon or ginger).
What is your favourite recipe?
