Becca Cosmetics - Champagne Pop.

If you haven't heard of the Champagne Pop highlighter from the Jaclyn Hill and Becca Cosmetics collaboration I don't know where you've been hiding, as it has been one of the biggest highlighter launches last year! So in April I was finally dragged into all the hype and just had to get one!

This highlighter was my first ever high end highlighter and from the get go I was impressed! First of all I love the cardboard packaging it comes in as I am a total magpie and anything shiny always catches my eye, and honesty I didn't want to throw it away! The actual casing for the highlighter is a matte rubber with a metal top, which I really like, though the rubber section does tend to get my messy finger prints on. The inside also has a really good mirror which is handy for trips out.

The actual highlight is a gorgeous peachy gold colour that I think will suit most skin tones. The formula is really soft and blends into the skin beautifully. Now if you are new to highlighters or don't like serious highlighting then I would use this with precaution as it is very pigmented, in fact the first time I used this I could literally see my cheek in the corner of my eye all day as it was so bright! However, if you apply it slowly it is easy to build up to the intensity you want.

To apply I very lightly put my brush in the pan and then tap of the excess, as like I said before you really do only need the tiniest bit! I then blend it onto the top of my cheekbones, down the center of my nose and on my cupids bow. I also use it as an inner corner highlight on my eye if I'm doing a gold eye look to really make my eyes pop! I then repeat this process if I want it more intense.

I absolutely love this highlighter and will definitely be trying to purchase the Champagne Pop face palette collection when it is released. This highlighter costs £32, which is on the pricey side, but since you only need a tiny bit this will last you ages if you decided to invest. You can buy one here: Becca Cosmetics Champagne Pop - £32.
