Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Oil-Free Lotion.

Moisturiser is an important step in any good skincare routine especially in the winter months, so I'm always on the look out for a good one. When I heard about the Kiehl's Ultra facial oil-free lotion I couldn't wait to give it a go as it sounded like the perfect match for my oily skin.

First of all this moisturiser comes in an absolutely huge bottle! Though I did accidentally pick up the 250ml instead of the 125ml one, which I really wish that I had noticed before I got home! This bottle though makes it a bit of a fuss to use, as to get any product out you have to give it a good shake and squeeze, which to be honest isn't the biggest inconvenience but being somewhat lazy, I wish it was a bit easier to get out.

The lotion itself has a nice texture, not too thick and yet not too liquid, and it sinks into the skin really quickly. Therefore you don't have to wait ages for it to dry before applying primer and makeup! Once on it does leave my skin feeling really soft throughout the entire day, and I do find that it helps to reduce the oiliness of my face.

I've been using this now everyday for the last few months and it hasn't caused my skin to breakout at all, nor has it caused any sensitivity! However during these colder days I have been finding my skin getting drier and drier in certain areas, and even though this does help to soothe them slightly it's not fully getting rid of those really dry patches, which is making applying matte foundation very tricky! So if you do have dry skin, I wouldn't recommend this.

Overall I do really like this lotion, but I think I may have to put it away until the warmer months comes back, as my skin is going a little crazy and dry at the moment! You can buy this moisturiser here: Kiehl's Ultra Facial oil-free lotion - £24.

  1. It sounds like a lovely moisturiser, but I think I'd need something a little more intensive for my super dry skin! xx

    1. It is a good one, it's such a shame though that it's not intense enough for winter skin! x
